Looking Ahead To 2026

As we look ahead to 2026, Ardrossan Community Development Trust (ACDT) remains focused on turning shared ambition into meaningful action. Regeneration is not a finished task but an ongoing journey, shaped by local needs and guided by the opportunities we create together for the future.

While we are proud of what has already been achieved, our attention is firmly on what comes next: strengthening existing projects, widening opportunities for local people and continuing to shape Ardrossan as a place where communities can thrive.

Building a Stronger, More Resilient Ardrossan

Our regeneration work in 2026 is firmly focused on supporting the people who live, work and spend time in Ardrossan. A key priority is ensuring that valued community spaces, including The HUB on the PROM and the Beach House Café, remain open, welcoming and financially sustainable for everyone to enjoy. Over the year ahead, we will expand our programme of activities, increase community use of these spaces and explore new ways they can support learning, wellbeing and local enterprise.

To deliver this work, the Trust is strengthening its capacity through the recruitment of several key roles. We have recently advertised positions for a Head of Operations and a Development Officer, alongside ongoing recruitment for a Café Manager and Barista staff at the Beach House Café.

We have also launched the ACDT Community Fund, funded by Sorbie Wind Farm (Energie Kontor), offering local groups and organisations the opportunity to apply for funding to deliver projects that create positive, lasting impact across the Ardrossan area.

In addition, our Comms Officer we will be streamlining our membership database and application process for future applicants who wish to receive updates from the Trust. Existing members will be invited to confirm they wish to remain a member and update their details to help us maintain clear and effective communication.

Alongside these developments, we are focusing on practical improvements that enhance everyday experiences in the town — from better use of shared spaces to supporting initiatives that bring people together, encourage activity and strengthen community connections throughout the year.

Creating Opportunities That Matter

Our aim is to create opportunities that make a genuine difference to everyday life. In the year ahead, we will focus on projects that support skills development, encourage volunteering and provide meaningful ways for people to get involved in shaping their community.

We will continue to build on the success of South Beach as a destination, carefully planning future enhancements that add value while respecting the character of the area. Through this approach, we aim to support both community wellbeing and local economic activity.

Planning With Purpose and Partnership

Strong regeneration is built on strong partnerships. In 2026, we will continue working closely with residents, members, funders and local organisations to identify priorities and deliver projects that reflect shared goals.

Community engagement will remain central to everything we do. Through consultations, events and ongoing conversations, local voices will continue to guide our direction and help us focus on initiatives with the greatest long-term benefit.

Be Part of What Comes Next

Looking ahead, we believe Ardrossan’s future is strongest when it is shaped together. Our plans for 2026 are ambitious, but they are grounded in practical action and community collaboration.

We invite our members, supporters and residents to be part of this next chapter. Whether by becoming a member, sharing ideas, volunteering your time, attending events or supporting our projects, your involvement helps turn plans into progress.

Together, we can continue building a resilient, welcoming and forward-looking Ardrossan by focusing on what matters most: collaboration, partnership and a shared vision.
